The Horses

Purchased for $100, Killer Angel had a bad ankle and needed some time off. We gave it to him, and he ran very well for us. He was claimed from Ocho Locos for $16,000.

We claimed Paparazzi for $12,500 on November 14, 2003. We ran Paparazzi back on December 10 in an N1X and he ran second. December 26 in the same race saw another 2nd place finish in the N1X. Then on Jan 11, 2004 we got the N1X win we were looking for. We started getting a little concerned about his ankles so we ran him on Jan 28, 2004 for $20k claiming. Paparazzi made it two in a row as he won again, and was claimed for $20k.

We claimed Queen's Son (Chuck) for $7500 on March 20, 2004. Chuck's claim came on the heels of another claim that went terribly bad. On February 14, 2003, we dropped a claim on a very nice 7 year old named D.J.'s Hope. D.J.'s Hope had been running well at Calder prior to moving to Laurel. He had won 2 races at Laurel and was in for $32,000 claiming on Feb 14. Having won this same race (N3X/C$32k) in his previous start, he looked like a good horse to take for the upcoming turf season, and maybe even a run in the John B. Campbell Handicap. D.J. broke down in the race and had to be euthanized. The loss on D.J. left us in a tight spot financially and we looked to Chuck to pull us out. Unfortunately, Chuck wasn't much of a horse but we did get one win out of him before retiring him.

Ocho Locos Stable claimed Flip Tour on December 18, 2004 for $15,000. Flippy won 6 times for us including a N1X win at Laurel Park, an open $16k claimer at Delaware Park, and a $25k claimer at Delaware Park.

Ocho Locos Stable claimed Tooth Doctor on October 22, 2005 for $14,000. We raced Tooth Doctor on November 10, 2005 in an N1X at Laurel Park on the turf. He came home a winner!! Yet, he was never the same after that race. He ran 10 more times for Ocho Locos and never hit the board again. We sold Tooth Doctor in August of 2006.
